     B. Conditions for Selection of Players for a Match

Selection of players for a match will be made solely by the Governor and Team Captains. They will use the following criteria to select the players to play each week:
  1. How many players sign up for a match
  2. How many players will be playing in the match as agreed to by both teams (The league minimum for an official match is 8 teams with at least 4 team pairings from the forward tees for the first half of the season, and a minimum of 6 matches with at least 3 from the front tees in the second half of the season.
  3. The number of allowed alternates (might be none)
  4. The league index of the players who have signed up for the match. (There are league restrictions on the maximum difference in handicap of two players on the same team)
  5. Every effort will be made to get all players to play in at least 20% of the matches they sign up for. Note that playing as an alternate is considered playing in a match.
  6. All members are expected to sign up for both home and away matches. Signing up for only away matches will reduce the likelihood of selection.
